What we collect

• Aggregate analytics. We use privacy-preserving, cookie-less analytics (e.g. Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views. We don't build visitor profiles and we don't use advertising cookies ourselves. If display advertising is enabled, the ad provider's own notice and consent mechanisms apply and will be shown.
• Email you send us. If you contact us (corrections, removals, enquiries) we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it.
• Visitor posts & ratings. If you submit a post about a beach we store the rating, your display name, the post text and (if you provide it) your email. The name and post are published after moderation; your email is never published and is used only to contact you about your post — unless you also tick the newsletter box.
• Newsletter opt-in. We only email you if you expressly tick the (never pre-ticked) opt-in box. Every email identifies us and contains a working unsubscribe. To be removed at any time, use the unsubscribe link or email us.

What's in the listings

Listings describe public beaches using rules published by their governing authorities. We don't publish personal information in listings. If anything on the site identifies you in a way you object to, use the corrections page — removal requests are actioned within 7 days.

Removing your post or data

Email us to amend or delete any post you've made, or to remove your email from our records — actioned within 7 days, no reason needed.
