Asbury Park Dog Beach (8th Avenue)
The Jersey Shore's best-known dog beach. In summer, dogs use the beach evenings/early mornings only; off-season it's open all hours. Off-leash allowed if properly supervised and no seals are present.

- Dogs only on the designated Dog Beach — never on other Asbury Park beaches
- Summer (May 16–Sep 14): 6 p.m.–8:30 a.m.; dogs off the beach by 8:30 a.m.
- Off-season (Sep 15–May 15): all hours
- Off-leash permitted if supervised and no seals present; keep dogs off dunes
- Licensed dogs only; fines up to $1,000 for waste violations
